Lifeboat Release Gear Familiarisation Workshop

 

The Techno Fibre Group organises safety seminars relating to the safe and efficient inspections of a multitude of differing lifeboat hook release systems.

 

Lifeboat Release Gear Familiarisation Workshop covers generic lifeboat release systems and safe operating methods. Supported by our fully equipped training rooms and operating lifeboat and davit models, personnel actively engaged in the inspection of lifesaving equipment have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience and knowledge of these systems.

 

To date, we have conducted safety seminars for the following:-

• Port Authorities
• Classification societies
• Ships’ crew
• Vessel operators and managers

The Techno Fibre Group is able to customise seminars to suit the needs of different industry sectors, eg. regulations, davits, repair procedures, annual inspections, 5-yearly inspections and more.

 

A practical training workshop including “hands on” training is offered in conjunction with each course at Techno Fibre’s workshop facility.

 

This workshop is modeled after Techno Fibre’s highly successful in-house training programme which is accredited by the Singapore Institute of Technical Education’s OJT (“On Job Training”) scheme.

 

All practical workshop training and classroom content was developed by a team of qualified ITE Industrial Training Officers, familiar with all aspects relating to the various methods and designs of present day release systems.

 

 

Lifeboat FRP Repair Training Courses

 

We offer programmes in the basic fundamentals of lifeboat FRP repairs which encompasses elements of the following:-

• investigation of boat structural damages
• various methods of FRP repairs
• methods of evaluation of structural integrity
• methods of finishing
• osmosis identification and repairs

Training courses can also be custom tailored to suit each client’s specific requirements.

 

 

Anti-Piracy Training Workshop

 

We offer specialised training for crew in anti-piracy procedures and equipment handling. Conducted by trained professionals, this programme is designed to equip operating crew in enhancing vessel security and safety when transiting in high-risk waters worldwide.

 

Training courses can be custom tailored to suit each client's specific requirements either in-house, at Techno Fibre's facilities or on-site.
